First of all I'd like to say to You "Thanks a lot" for Your advices.The value of this advices is very high for me because they are both professional and life important the main aim of which is not only how to perfect my professional skills(Your exercise for my left hand is very useful for me!) but to change my attitute to the music which I play.You have encouraged me and now I fully convienced that I love music and every day I try to bring some new experience and to find some new emotions which will help me to do my best on the stage.So again"THANKS A LOT!!!"and I hope our communication will continue.

Ich wollte mich nochmal für die schöne und sehr lehrreiche Zeit bei den Meisterkursen bedanken! So eine Herangehensweise habe ich noch nie erlebt. Es war für mich eine sehr wertvolle Erfahrung, zu der ich aufsehen werde. Der Unterricht hat mich sehr beeindruckt.

Ich möchte dir sagen, dass es eine Veränderung ist, die ohne dich nicht hätte stattfinden können.
Dein blick, der mich immer wieder aufmuntert, gibt mir Kraft, und mit deiner entschlossenen Stimme, ohne zu schimpfen, läßt du mich selbst herausfinden, was ich verbessern muss. ...
Ich möchte, dass das ganze Universum weiß, was für ein wunderbarer Professor du bist!

Du hast mir so viel Unterstützung und Selbstvertrauen gegeben - danke dir für alles!

Durch den Unterricht bei dir lerne ich nicht nur als Studentin sondern auch als Lehrerin viel darüber, wie man Kindern oder SchülerInnen etwas beibringt. Dein Rat und deine Tipps haben mir immer sehr geholfen.

Du bist ein großartiger Lehrer, und die Zeit bei dir war unvergesslich. Du bist nicht nur ein super Lehrer, sondern auch ein guter Freund und warst wie ein zweiter Vater für mich!

Lieber Georg! Ich würde gern mal danke sagen, dass nach so langer Zeit bei dir immer noch so viel Input da ist.

Ich wollte nur mal sagen, es macht echt Spass bei Dir Unterricht zu bekommen, sowohl musikalisch als auch menschlich :)

I was just practicing and noticed how my sound and technique has changed since the lessons we had during my short stay in Vienna. I want to thank you so much and I wish there would be another chance!

I have to write you something important for me. Ever since my visit in Vienna i can't stop thinking about your playing, method of teaching and your personality. That all made an amazing impression on me. You gave me so much positive energy for playing!

Ein Meisterkurs von Georg Hamann, Mitglied des Aron Quartetts, beeindruckte Rui Hashiba so, dass sie beschloss, ihm nach Wien zu folgen. "Er ist bis heute mein großes Vorbild."

I don't know, all the people who had the biggest influence on my life, I saw it from the first moment , really! I think, it's because you see, because you don't judge, because you help by maintaining silence, only; because you believe in values that are good, because you, you are good..

Thanks for being such a wonderful person and teacher!

I am really grateful that I had an opportunity to participate the lessons of Mr. Hamann as a translator for 4 days. That was a great experience for me. ...

Among those various students, Mr. Hamann first listens carefully to the play of the student, then quickly finds the point that the student needs to learn. He gives him/her advice one by one kindly and patiently, sometimes with his funny actions, singing or dancing and so on. Being given his lesson, the play of the student is rapidly being enhanced.

What impressed me most in his lessons is his considerate and thoughtful instruction as below. I listened to it several times in the primary student lessons.

“When you young students learn to play musical instruments, everyone tend to strictly follow the teacher’s instruction, concentrate to the score, and try to only technically develop the skill. That is not the music. That is like a sound-making machine. The music is what makes you happy and what makes audience happy. First of all you have to enjoy playing music, naturally holding the instrument as a part of your body.”

And more,

“Every student has the unique talent and potential. Therefore the teachers, parents, and other adults around the students should try to bring out abilities of each student, and help them develop their individual abilities without forcing them to follow the method formally.”

I was deeply impressed with such considerate instruction of him and I am sure he is a great musician with warm heart. I quite agree with him about dealing with children since I am working as a teacher for children.

Also as a fan of the classical music I felt grateful and happy that I was able to closely watch the musical lessons sitting between a “true musician” and a “future musician”. That was a valuable experience for me.
